While preparing an updated listing of individuals & groups to be

notified of a Thank You B.B.Q.

upcoming on June 20*, my mind focused not just on those living here

in our lake community, but also on those working here: our office

staff, our maintenance, and our security.

As in any community, there are those individuals that are quick with

criticism. Unfortunately, they are usually the loudest voices heard,

while the majority quietly go about their daily business, happy in the

knowledge that others are working to make their community safe,

attractive, & fun.

I would like to take these few minutes to

acknowledge the excellent work that Kevin Thorpe (Manager) & his

office staff are doing. I would also add that the work of the

maintenance crew is noticeable & very welcomed.

The security staff hears complaints daily, yet they proudly continue to

do their jobs within the limits they are given. well done to each

& every one of these employees for the good jobs they are doing for

the rest of us. If there were an award to be given out, It would probably

go to Jack Tobias who cheerfully cleans up after, before, & around the

various clubs using the lodge. He also gets to do the same for the

special events held here, ie. weddings, private parties, and group events.

Thank you Jack for that cheerfulness and dedication.

Your board is working hard to find the resources to continually

upgrade & maintain your community. While critics are loudly

protesting some of choices the board makes, it should be noted that at no

time has there been decisions made profitting any board

member . Occasionally, our board meetings have become more

interesting than T. V. with drama, conflict, & humor. Credit needs to

be given to Paul Ellison, Board President, for his calm demeanor & ability

to keep everyone on track. Good job Paul.
