Board Meeting Rules

Welcome to the LPOA Board of Trustees Meeting.
While the board welcomes, encourages and wants to hear from the property owners, this is a business meeting of the board. As such the members of the board must be able to conduct the business of the board when there are motions or reports being heard. Therefore, the board members will be given the first chance to speak or to ask questions regarding the issue before the board. If the board wishes to hear comments from the public, the president will ask for the comments from the audience. If you are addressing comments to the board at any time, please follow the following simple rules.
1. Wait to be recognized by the President of the board.
2. Go to the podium and state your name and lot number or address.
3. Make your comments concerning the issue.
4. Please avoid making personal comments about any individual. Such comments will be ruled out-of-order and the speaker will no longer be recognized.
5. Inappropriate language or behavior will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in the speaker being ruled out-of-order and will be asked to leave.
All property owners will be given time to speak, under the rules as above, at the end of the meeting.
